Some words on me
Hello and welcome to the site belonging to CircleGuardians of which I am one of the creators. I am an optimistic and creative person that enjoys most in life – mostly people – my friends, family and my darling girlfriend. I enjoy social activities of all kinds – whatever activity and forum where I can be together with others, socialise, laugh and share memories or interesting conversations – will always be something I desire.
Me and role playing
I have always enjoyed games of all sorts. Since I got my Snes (Nintendo 8-bit), at the age of 8, I knew I was a gamer. Later it became Amiga 500 where I noticed that it were the RPG’s and the adventure games that mostly caught my interest. When the PC’s took the scene, games such as Championship Manager, Baldur’s Gate, Fall Out, Monkey Island and some others were always those I enjoyed the most. The best RPG ever at PC is KOTOR – without competition. The storyline, the characters and the adventure was awesome. As of late, Dragon Age and Mass Effect brings competition but Kotor still stands in a different league.
Furthermore I have been a roleplayer for a long time. I started role playing when I was 11 years old, it was the Swedish Pen and Paper RPG – Drakar & Demoner (A Swedish semi-rip of the popular Dungeons & Dragons). Since then I fell in love with levelling characters, making a character come alive through telling his story to the world, creating personalities and letting them develop as I enjoyed the game. My favorite Pen and Paper RPG’s are Earth Dawn, Star wars D20, Shadowrun and Vampires, World of Darkness. Also some Swedish classics exist here such as the old horror-RPG Shock and of course Kult. But in the end, you can only have so many favorites and you got to choose.
…. And now the CircleGuardians
CircleGuardians is a community for those that enjoy role playing made with effort and style – and gaming. We are for mature and friendly people iRL that respect others and seek to have fun, laugh and share memories rather than to create emo-outbreaks and make everyone uncomfortable. I am one of the creators and I had the idea early after having been guild master for two large RP-guilds in World of Warcraft, Earthen Ring and Lotro. I realised that so many great people lost contact with each other due to having different interests for a brief moment. If you stopped playing a game, you had no reason to visit your old guild website and you lost connection with some which is sad! Therefore, our idea was to create CircleGuardians, the community. Do you enjoy quality role playing and gaming? Super! Then we will with this community have a fantastic gathering place and use this base to form our guilds (which all share the same philosophy – the CircleGuardian core values) in any game our members get interested in.
The CircleGuardians was created in a time when we did not play an active game – and still – the response has been amazing. I am charmed, honored and happy to be part of this – together with all CircleGuardians.
